Attractions & Things to do
Castle Canyke is ideally situated for exploring the rest of Cornwall
as it is centrally located between both coastlines and close to all
the major road links giving you easy access to many of Cornwalls attractions.
Bodmin also has very good rail link if you feel like leaving the car behind.
Bodmin Moor
to the East of town is a must for walkers and cyclists
and a haven for nature lovers and bird watchers. There are many walks
to choose from for all levels of fitness, some taking you past our
very own stone circle.
Carnglaze Cavern
is series of Caverns and underground lake where
concerts are held in the evenings. There are also woodland walks, gardens,
picnics areas and shop.
A guided walk takes around 45mins
The Camel Trail
is an 18mile mainly traffic free route based on an disused
railway track.
The route takes you from Bodmin to Padstow. The very scenic route takes you
through Wadebridge, Wonderful woodland and runs along side the Camel Estuary,
a bird watcher's paradise, ending in Padstow with magnificent views of the
Cornish coastline.
